Free in Deed

On July 4th 2025 the U.S.A. and Friends of America will celebrate another “Independence Day.” That is great. And I personally still believe America is the best country to be living in. Many love the European Countries but “for each his/her own.” So I choose the U.S.A.

Nevertheless, to be free in America is not true freedom. There are lots of rules/laws and unrighteousness everywhere – not just in America. But it’s here too.

I believe true freedom comes with Freedom from sin or unrighteousness. That is where sin has no unlimited power or reign over us. That comes from knowing God: Jesus. Salvation from God gives us power over willful sin and the power of evil over us. See Romans 6:18-23 KJV.

There is a distinct difference between being saved and not. I remember how many things I could not stop doing until I received the Holy Ghost (i.e. saved from sin as mentioned at Acts 2:38 KJV Process). The will to resit sin comes from freedom from sin. That comes from Salvation from God. The power over sin comes from our connection and communion with God via Prayer, Fasting and Church Communion. Once we are saved by God then God becomes our source of Power over sin. That’s true freedom.

The American Independence is still great. And America has never stopped being great. But sin is everywhere. And God: Jesus is the Power over sin and unrighteousness through receiving His Salvation.
