Not rich but still blessed
I cannot remember a Scripture in the Bible from God: Jesus that once we are saved as Believers/Christians we will be rich.
The Bible did say God shall supply all our “need.” See Philippians 4:15-20 KJV. Instead, the Bible places more emphasis on seeking after and receiving Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1-31 KJV). And is it also says “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” Colossians 3:2 KJV.
There is nothing wrong with being rich. Many people (including Christians) would really like to be rich. Having that at kind of money (such as 2 or more millions) would help in many ways. But only if it is used correctly, and not wasted foolishly. However, not being rich in financial or money wealth, is less important than not being Spiritual. See Galatians 3:1-6 and John 3:12-18 KJV. To be Spiritual or be Spiritually blessed or gifted is far more essential, especially if you are a Believer saved by God: Jesus.
I have never been rich. Neither have I known anyone who is or was rich in all my life (before my Salvation from God: Jesus and after that). But I have received guidance, protection, the provision of all my need, healing, and such alike in my life-time from God: Jesus. So I am not rich but still blessed. It is better to be blessed. Bad or poor health with riches is not something anyone in his/her right mind would desire. And that include both physical and mental health.
I believe, it is more blessed to have or receive Spiritual Gifts from God: Jesus than, for example, 100 million from this World Financial Money System, and still be “lost” or unsaved until death. Salvation from God: Jesus comes with Spiritual or Heavenly things money really cannot buy.
Heavenly Things come from God: Jesus and not the World. And no amount of money on this earth can buy those things from God. That is why 1 Timothy 6:12 KJV says: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” And the Bible also says: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” 2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV.
With having Spiritual Things or Gifts, we can fully appreciate the Word of God that says: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” John 16:33 KJV. We cannot overcome the world with earthly or worldly richness or riches. But we can do so with Spiritual or Heavenly Things or Gifts.
So I say, I am not rich but I am still truly blessed – in the Name of Jesus.
